Issmail Nnafie
Issmail Nnafie is a Programme Specialist with the UNICEF Climate & Environment Centre of Excellence, based in Bangkok, Thailand, where he supports climate change adaptation (CCA), disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate resilience initiatives across UNICEF.
He holds master's degrees in Innovation Sciences from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands) and Sustainable Development Management from Sunway University (Malaysia).
With over 20 years of experience across Europe, Africa, and Asia, Issmail has worked with international development organisations on climate action, environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction, and innovation. At UNICEF, he supports country offices and government partners in strengthening policies and programmes that better protect children from climate, environmental, and disaster-related risks.
