Dr. Mohd Munir bin Baharom Malaysia

Dr. Mohd Munir bin Haji Baharom is an education leader, environmental advocate, and educational technology specialist with over 18 years of experience in classroom teaching, policy implementation, teacher development, and strategic leadership. He currently serves as Chief Assistant Director of Science and Mathematics at the Johor State Education Department. He holds a PhD and Master’s in Educational Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, focusing his research on Environmental Education, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), STEM, and technology-enhanced learning. Dr. Munir advances Johor’s sustainability agenda by bridging schools with government agencies, universities, industry, and international partners. His key initiatives include the Iskandar Malaysia Ecolife Challenge, the eLestari School Improvement System, and Johor’s Sustainability Education Action Plan. Recognised with multiple Excellent Service Awards, Dr. Munir is dedicated to empowering educators and students to move beyond awareness and become active, responsible agents of change.
