Lloyd Lesther Orendain is an environmental conservation practitioner from Palawan, Philippines, working at the intersection of conservation education, public awareness, and sustainable tourism. For the past three years, he has worked as a CEPA/Tourism Assistant at the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park Management Office, helping implement its Communication, Education, and Public Awareness strategies and programs. He works closely with students, divers, tourism operators, and partner organisations to make marine conservation more accessible and engaging. This includes conducting environmental education activities through storytelling, interactive learning, exhibits, virtual reality experiences, and school outreach programs in coastal communities in Palawan. He also promotes strict adherence to park rules, safety, and responsible tourism practices by actively engaging with divers, dive professionals, dive operators, and partners travelling to Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. His role also involves supporting Marine Park Ranger training, conservation events, stakeholder activities, and digital communication initiatives. He is particularly interested in finding creative and practical ways to connect people with marine conservation and inspire greater care for the environment.
