Wanrawee Tipprapatkul Education Partnerships Lead dan Partnership & Academic Design Lead Environmental Education Centre, Thailand

Environmental Education Centre (EEC) Thailand is a social enterprise founded in 2015 from a passion for nature and environmental education. Guided by the belief “Let Nature Be Our Classroom,” EEC creates meaningful learning experiences that connect people with nature and real-world environmental challenges. At the heart of EEC’s work is the belief that environmental education builds knowledge, awareness and understanding, while human development builds the character, skills and values needed to turn that understanding into action. Together, these contribute towards nature conservation and a thriving future for people and nature. Over 11 years, EEC has designed and delivered 430+ programmes reaching more than 30,000 participants across 55 provinces in Thailand. Our experience spans children and youth, families, schools, communities, organisations and international participants, with programmes designed around the needs and context of each audience. EEC’s approach is rooted in experiential learning. Rather than learning about environmental issues only in the classroom, participants are encouraged to experience nature first-hand, learn from experts and communities, ask questions, reflect, and understand how environmental challenges connect to people and everyday life. This approach has been applied across a wide range of environmental themes and learning settings, from immersive field experiences to longer-term education and conservation initiatives. Across different audiences, locations and scales, EEC aims to make environmental education experiential, relevant and actionable, deepening people’s connection with the natural world and empowering them to translate learning into meaningful action.
